Tarmac – Tarmac driveways are the most popular currently due to its low cost and high durability. It's extremely weather resistant and can withstand snow, rain and heat. It’s permeable allowing water to drain. It’s low maintenance requiring little or no upkeep. Damaged areas can be easily repaired on a low budget.

Asphalt / Coloured Asphalt – Asphalt driveways are another alternative to tarmac, still offering you the high durability and benefits that tarmac offers but giving you a smoother surface due to asphalt using smaller aggregates than those in tarmac. Asphalt is permeable allowing water to drain. Asphalt comes in a variety of colours allowing you to opt for this surface but to suit your requirements.

Resin Bound – Resin bound driveways are becoming a more popular choice of surface due to the many advantages it offers, including, low maintenance, high durability, weather dependant and long lasting. Resin is completely porous, i.e it allows water to seep through the surface and drain away. Resin bound driveways are offered in a wide variety of colours allowing an aesthetically pleasing finish to your exterior.

Tar & Shingle – Tar and shingle is a popular resurfacing option. Hot bitumen (also known as asphalt) is laid and then covered with the dressing stone before being compacted. It’s cost effective, extremely low maintenance, long lasting and offers a high traction thanks to its textured surface, getting you out of trouble in those wet or icy conditions. This finish is offered in a variety of different colours allowing you to complement your exterior.

Loose Shingle – Loose shingle is a favoured option for those smaller areas. Although a cheaper option compared to paved surfaces, shingle would require a lot more maintenance due to the migration of the stones, however this surface offers better water drainage. Exteriors would only require a replenishment of materials, thus keeping the maintenance cost down. Shingle is offered in a variety of colours to suit exteriors.
